Rainbows Hospice Walk of Life 2012
Rainbows Annual Walk of Life is taking place on Sunday 27th May at Leicestershire County Cricket Club from 9.00am- 4.30pm.
Friendly, organised and reliable volunteers are needed to act as marshalls. If you are able to offer some support for the entire day or just for a few hours in the morning, across lunchtime or in the afternoon it would be much appreciated.
Marshalls provide an essential safety measure on the day and Rainbow’s Hospice could not run the event without volunteers like you. There are five sections on the route and each section has a lead marshal to look after you, ensure your safety and help you to enjoy the day. You will be provided with a goodie bag with water and food items. We will require marshalls to be in position prior to the walkers passing through their section, in order to ensure safety briefings have been completed. If you have a preference for a particular spot on the route, please let the team know.
There are four sites around the walk which you can choose from:
-
Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Grace Road
-
Victoria Park
-
Knighton Park
-
King Power Stadium
Rainbows will also require volunteers at these sites to help with setting up, filling goodie bags, registration, water stations, and to encourage our fantastic walkers.
To sign up to help, please email Beccy: Beccy.May@rainbows.co.uk
