What can the Volunteering Team offer?

We work with a wide range of local charities and ‘not for profit’ voluntary and community organisations in Leicester.  We promote volunteering opportunities and encourage University of Leicester students to get involved with the local community.  

There are different ways we can promote your organisation including on our website, weekly bulletin and events diary to our 1600 ever growing student membership.

You can also visit campus and promote your organisation and recruit student volunteers through:

• Information/Training Sessions, which typically last 30-60 minutes.  We would also supply a free room and resources for you. 
• Exhibit at our annual Volunteering Fair where you can bring a stand and hand out material about your organisation.

I need volunteers

The first step is to  complete our Volunteering Opportunity form to provide us with details about your organisation and then send the form back to us by e-mailing contact@le.ac.uk

A member of the Volunteering Team will then contact you to discuss the opportunity and will continue to liaise with you as the opportunity is advertised.  You even have the option to have a consultation with a member of the Volunteering Team regarding your project face to face or by telephone if you prefer.
