Graduate Volunteers

I’m a graduate – can I still get some information and advice about volunteering?

As a graduate of the University of Leicester you are welcome to visit and use the resources in the Student Development Zone. If you are coming from any distance, please check our opening hours especially during vacations. If you're  graduating in the summer you can still get involved in the University's volunteering programme, up until the start of the new academic year, so if you see any projects on these pages that interest you, please get in touch.

There are a number of organisations and websites that you can contact to find out about different volunteering opportunities in Leicester, across the UK and even abroad.

Graduates in Leicester

If you live in Leicester then you can still get involved with most of the volunteer projects listed on this website. Browse through the volunteer opportunities to find out what is available.

You can also contact Leicester’s volunteer bureau, Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL) to get support and more information about volunteering in Leicester (http://www.valonline.org.uk/)

Graduates in the UK

If you no longer live in Leicester then you can find your local volunteer bureau on the Volunteering England site (www.volunteering.org.uk).

You can also search for volunteer opportunities across the UK using your postcode on do-it.org.uk (www.do-it.org.uk)

Community Service Volunteers (www.csv.org.uk) is a national organisation offering voluntary placements to young people lasting from four to 12 months. No previous experience or qualifications are needed.
