About Us
The Volunteering Team
The Volunteering Team is based within the University's Career Service. We provide support for students and staff wanting to volunteer and liaise with local community groups who want to recruit volunteers. We provide support to the Students' Union Contact Student Volunteer Association, and work in partnership to co-ordinate student volunteering activities. We encourage students to develop and run projects themselves and facilitate or arrange relevant training. We are based on the 2nd floor of the David Wilson Library. Contact Student Volunteers
Contact Student Volunteers is the Students' Union Student Volunteering Association, based in the Activities Resource Centre (ARC) in the Students' Union. There is a student committee made up of seven elected students who volunteer their time to run Contact. Find out more about the Contact Executive Committee.
Our service is available to students, staff and recent graduates from the University of Leicester.
As a member of Contact you have certain rights such as the right to a clear description of your role and knowing who is responsible for supporting you in your volunteering. There are responsibilities alongside this, such as agreeing to a level of commitment and acting in a responsible manner as a representitive of Contact.
