Enterprising Volunteers

Enterprising Volunteers is a brand new initiative, started in 2010 aiming to help students develop skills whilst doing something worthwhile in the Leicester community. Teams presented their project proposals to a panel of 'Dragons' and the successful teams went on to receive training covering project management, team working and leadership as well as gaining funding to help make their project a reality

share surplus project

E.O.W - Womens Health Conference. (18th June) FGM is a controversial procedure that is carried out for cultural and religious traditions, but is internationally recognized as a violation of the human rights of girls and women. the conference will take place on June 18th 2011 at the University of Leicester. The Share-Surplus Project aims to take surplus food from on campus outlets and redistribute it to The Y Advice and Support Centre (YASC) in Leicester. direct access day centre for anyone who is homeless, a rough sleeper, staying in temporary accommodation or vulnerably housed.
