Profile

Rajinder Bhuhi is the Enterprise Learning Officer within the Careers Service. Her role is to help students develop their enterprising skills as both intra-preneurs and entrepreneurs. Rajinder spends her time developing resources and supporting through one to one business coaching sessions. Her work has included developing a range of extra-curricular activities for students including workshops, training programmes, seminars and other business skills and enterprise learning opportunities for postgraduates and undergraduates.

Prior to joining the University in 2007 she led various projects at both regional and national level. Directly before joining the University her role as Programme Director for Common Purpose involved working with emerging leaders to lead beyond their boundaries, supporting them to gain the knowledge and the connections they need to produce real change in their workplaces and in their communities. Before that, at Business Link Leicestershire she developed a new business network within Leicestershire and provided business support advice to pre-start businesses.

She currently also volunteers her time as Chair and Director for the board of the LeicestHERday Trust, which works to support and empower women, families and communities throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. She also is an Ambassador and Champion for the Tomorrow's Women Project at the LeicestHERDay Trust, which provides mentoring support to women in taking up leadership roles locally and nationally.

She has over 15 years of experience of project management, business support and business development services, where a number of new projects have successfully been established and continue to grow and develop. This is demonstrated through the delivery and management of Business Development Programmes working with many organisations from the private, public and voluntary sectors. Enterprise Programme Director for Enterprise Inc and Social Enterprise Way Programmes.
