Our appointments
We provide information, advice and guidance on developing employability and career management skills. This includes helping you identify your longer term career aspirations and what you need to do to achieve them. Whatever stage you are at with your career planning we can help.
- Need to develop your employability skills? We can help you identify appropriate opportunities to develop the skills required by graduate employers which will give you a head start in the search for graduate employment.
- Haven’t got a clue? We can help you explore what you want in a career (values, motivations, interests) and what you have to offer (strengths, skills and experience). This will help you to identify career options that might suit you.
- Some ideas? We can help you to focus your research and access the information you need.
- Know what you want to do? We can help you to explore the graduate job market and look at entry and training options.
- Ready to apply? We can help you to identify appropriate sources of vacancies including the ‘hidden job market’ and target your CV, covering letter and application. Advisers provide feedback on draft CVs, covering letters, applications and personal statements and if you need help getting started you could attend one of our central workshops.
- Invited to attend an interview and/or assessment centre? We can help you prepare including identifying the sort of questions that you might be asked and how to approach answering them.
