What is the Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)?

The HEAR is a nationally recognised transcript that demonstrates both your academic and extra-curricular achievements, providing future employers or further study institutions with a comprehensive record of the knowledge, skills and experience gained during your time at University.

This includes: academic work, extra-curricular activities, prizes and employability awards, voluntary work and offices held in student union clubs and societies that have been verified by the University of Leicester.

 

Who is eligible to receive the HEAR?

Undergraduate students starting their degree from 2011 will receive a HEAR.

The HEAR is not currently available to Postgraduate students and students studying in the following departments:

- School of Medicine  
- Distance Learning
- Education PGCert and PGCE
- Lifelong Learning

What are the benefits of the HEAR?

The HEAR provides employers and further study institutions with evidence of your knowledge, skills and experience gained through your degree and extra-curricular activities, showing a comprehensive picture of your time at university.

How do I access the HEAR?

Your HEAR will be available to access online upon graduation – you will sent be an email notifying you that you can access your account and view your HEAR.

What activities are recognised on the HEAR?

There are currently more than 40 activities that are recognised on the HEAR. If you’re already doing one or more of these activities (or thinking of taking part) then you can apply for the Leicester Award.
