John Foster Hall is the largest hall in Oadby Student Village. A total of 740 students are accommodated in a mix of catered and self-catered rooms.

The Facilities Building at the centre of the Site provides the Site reception, bar, tv/games room and dining room.
Most of the hall incorporates our prestigious development of pavilion style blocks. These pavilions house 458 catered ensuite rooms and 118 self-catered ensuite rooms in total. In addition, there are a number of older converted buildings, The Beeches, Wighton, Treroose, Howard and The Spinneys houses are self-catered properties with a mix of single or shared rooms.
The Coppice is entirely self-catered, it houses 57 ensuite rooms, 4 single rooms with washbasins and 11 premium flats. The flats are ensuite and include their own kitchen facilities.
John Foster Hall offers lessons in a variety of musical instruments aimed at those of all abilities from the novice to the experienced musician. Classes in dance and drama will also be available. Within the Facilities building at John Foster Hall there is a dining room, common rooms, bar and the Site reception in addition to a music practice room.
