Disability Provision
We have a number of rooms that have been adapted for students with disabilities. Beaumont Hall provide adapted rooms and Nixon Court provides a number of en suite rooms reserved for those with medical issues.
We also have rooms with silent alarms, wet room style showers, wider doors and disabled toilets and some of our kitchens have lower work surfaces suitable for wheelchair users. In some communal areas we provide lifts (where applicable) and wider doors for wheelchair users.
Sites that have adapted rooms available have a symbol in the site description.
If you have a disability, please contact us to discuss your accommodation requirements. You should also contact the AccessAbility Centre who can liaise with us on your behalf and will provide support throughout the academic year. The Centre offers a range of services to disabled students including one to one support, assessment of dyslexia, the arrangement of alternative examination arrangements and assistance with applications for the Disabled Students’ Allowance.
The AccessAbility Centre is located on the ground floor of the David Wilson Library.
