The Common Room:

Arts in the Village has a dedicated common room in Beaumont Bar. During term time this room is available all day and night for any resident wanting to use it. The emphasis is on giving the right environment for anyone wanting to share creative ideas or get involved with any aspect of Arts in the Village; the facilities include a TV and DVD, a skill swap board where students can offer their talents in return for another skill they wish to be taught, a book amnesty where anyone can take a book as long as they leave another behind, information boards to display the schedule of events and class timetables. The common room also has those all important comfy sofas as well as tea and coffee making facilities, and the bar is open in the evenings.
