This course introduces members of academic and teaching staff with little or no experience in teaching in the UK Higher Education sector to some core skills and key approaches for coping in the classroom. |

| What can I expect to cover? |
The programme, will allow participants to get an overview of teaching at the University of Leicester and introduces key issues to guide practice in teaching in Higher Education. |

| Who is it for? |
Primarily this course is aimed at new lecturing staff to the University with less than one year’s experience of teaching in Higher Education. Other courses are available for staff who teach but do not undertake the full range of teaching duties. Researchers, Library and Computer Centre staff, technicians and administrators who undertake teaching/training please see 'Teaching Essentials for Researchers and Learning Support Staff'. Postgraduate students who are beginning teaching should, in the first instance, contact the Postgraduate Researcher Development Team. |
