Pat Thomson

Pat Thomson is Professor of Education, School of Education, the University of Nottingham. Her research focuses on three areas: the arts and creativity in school and community change (www.artsandcreativityresearch.org.uk); the work of headteachers; and doctoral education. She is an Editor of the Taylor and Francis journal Education Action Research.

Her most recent publications include Doing Visual Research with Children and Young People (Routledge 2008), School Leadership – Heads on the Block? (Routledge 2009) and the Routledge Doctoral Students Companion and the Routledge Doctoral Supervisors Companion (2010). Researching Creative Learning: Issues and Methods (Routledge) is in press and an international handbook on creative learning and six books for teachers are in preparation.
