Course Overview

This session is a practical course in planning and conducting one to one non-structured interviews for research. Emphasis is on practical issues rather than theoretical. |

| What can I expect to cover? |
The session covers the process of planning for interviews, making contacts, and persuading people to take part. Issues around face to face interviewing are covered and advice about recording equipment will be given if asked for. Copyright and ethics are covered as well. Please note that this session doesn’t cover how to use software such as NVivo 7 or QSR 6. |
| What will I get out of this course? |
At the end of the session you will be equipped with practical advice which will complement the theoretical issues around interviewing and will help you to carry out an interviewing project from start to finish. |

Early career researchers (including postdoctoral researchers and, where places are still available, doctoral candidates). |
