Computer Science Professor elected President of European body

Congratulations to Professor Reiko Heckel.

Reiko Heckel, professor of Software Engineering in our Department of Computer Science, has been elected President of the European Association of Software Science and Technology (EASST) at the Association’s general assembly in Talinn, Estonia.

EASST is an international non-profit organisiation which “aims to promote research, development and applications in the area of systematic and rigorous engineering of software and systems.” The election of a new President took place during the Joint European Conferences on Theory and Practice of Software (ETAPS).
