Tickets on sale for Varsity football 2012

Every year, the University of Leicester and our neighbours De Montfort University square off in a series of sporting ‘Varsity’ contests, traditionally beginning with men's and women's football at Leicester City’s ground, the King Power Stadium.

This year the Varsity footie matches take place on Monday 5 March and tickets for the evening are now available. The women’s match kicks off at 6.15pm and the men’s match at 7.30pm.

In 2011 our lads beat DMU 2-0 and our ladies did even better with a 3-0 result. Can we triumph again in 2012, or will DMU take their revenge?

The only way to know for certain is to get yourself a ticket. They cost just five pounds and are available from The Point in the Students’ Union – or any member of our Football Club will be happy to sell you one.

Dates for the Varsity rugby match will be posted when available, and in due course expect a full Varsity report on everything from Cricket to Ultimate Frisbee.
