Rethinking Banking and Finance: international conference in June

Last year it was Rome, this year Valencia is the venue for the International IFABS Conference on ‘Rethinking Banking and Finance: Money, Markets and Models’.

The event is a collaboration between the Universitat de València, the Ivie (Valencian Institute for Economic Research), the Universitat Jaume I and our own School of Management here in Leicester, all in association with the Journal of Banking and Finance.

This is the fourth annual conference and follows on from the successful 2011 event where IFABS (the International Finance and Banking Society) was formally launched. Dr Meryem Duygun Fethi, Lecturer in Finance, is once again co-chairing the conference which runs over 18-20 June 2012. The keynote speakers include:

The call for papers is now open with a 1 April deadline for abstract submission. The early registration deadline for the conference is 9 May.
