Free public lecture by Professor Ellen Annandale examines problems with gender-specific health cultures

Professor Ellen Annandale, of the Department of Sociology, author of Women's Health and Social Change, will explain how changing gender roles have altered the health issues faced by men and women.

Starting from the premise that the lives of many women and men today are divided in a highly complex way, Professor Annandale will analyse why 'who’s worse off?’ is now the wrong question to ask when studying gender and health.

This lecture will take place on 7 February from 5.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1 in the Ken Edwards Building, University of Leicester, University Road, and is free and open to the public.
