Engineering lecture on climate change

Leading engineering expert presents lecture this Tuesday to peers and public.

This week, the University of Leicester plays host to the annual congress of the Engineering Professors Council. As part of this prestigious event, there is a Distinguished Guest Lecture on Tuesday evening, which is free and open to the public.

Professor Julia King CBE FREng, Vice Chancellor of Aston University, will speak on the topic of ‘Climate Change, Green Growth, Opportunities for Engineering and Manufacturing'.

Professor King was previously Director of Advanced Engineering for the Industrial Power Group of Rolls Royce. In 2002, she became Chief Executive of the Institute of Physics and in 2004 the Principal of the Engineering Faculty at Imperial College. She is a member of the Committee for Climate Change and the UK’s Low Carbon Business Ambassador.
