Breakdance, ballroom, ballet and burlesque: students show off dance talent

Shortly before the Easter break, our various student performance societies came together for their first ever joint showcase – an event called One Night Only.

Organised by Bethany Haller and Alice Baxter, with the help of the Modern Dance Society, the evening featured contributions from the Street and Break Dance Society, the Burlesque Society, Minor Details (part of Leicester University Chorus), The Muses (part of LUTheatre and Leicester University Chorus), the Modern Dance Society and even the Pole Dance Society.

Staged in the O2 Academy in the Percy Gee Building, the whole affair was a tremendous success and raised plenty of money for ChildReach International, as well as giving our talented students an opportunity to show off before an appreciative audience. The organisers hope that this will become an annual event.
