This Saturday is the first University of Leicester Open Day of 2011, just for aspiring medical students.

If you are interested in applying for a degree course in our School of Medicine, make sure you come along to the Open Day on Saturday. There will be panels, demonstrations and tours throughout the day, giving you the opportunity to hear from staff and students about what is involved in a Leicester medical degree – and what you can get out of it.

Most panels are open to all but two of the most popular will require tickets, which you can collect from the Percy Gee Building (Students’ Union) on arrival. ‘Learning to be a Doctor at Leicester’ and ‘So You Want to be a Medical Student’ will each take place several times during the day; your tickets will give you and a guest entry to one specific timeslot.

Coaches to the student accommodation at Oadby Student Village will leave every ten minutes and there will be frequent tours of the campus courtesy of our Leicester Student Ambassadors. Food will be available in all the main campus eateries plus a barbecue (weather permitting) outside the Attenborough Building.

Please note that the Open Day takes place on the University Campus and not at the hospitals.

If you are considering applying for any other courses at Leicester, our general Open Days this year are on Friday 1 July, Wednesday 27 July, Saturday 24 September and Saturday 8 October.
