Hear Professor Stephen Wood discuss his research into what makes people happy at work.
Last week we reported on new research by Professor Stephen Wood from our School of Management, showing that variety, independence and decision-making contributed to job satisfaction more than pay rises.
There was a lot of media interest including this interview on Three Counties Radio. (The MP3 is six minutes long although the last minute or so is the presenters bantering and the first few bars of Andy Kim's 1968 hit 'Rock Me Gently'.)
Professor Wood was also interviewed on BBC Radio York as part of a news feature on stress levels among local NHS staff. This MP3 runs just 5'45" with Stephen coming in at 2'10".)
