Conference to mark new Institute of Finance
The new Institute of Finance is to be inaugurated at the University of Leicester with a conference on Banking and Finance Post-Crisis.
The Institute of Finance will serve as an international centre of excellence for research and teaching in Finance and as a link between professionals working in the Finance industry.
Led by Professor Emmanuel Haven of the School of Management, the Institute will bring together a wide variety of scholars in Finance at Leicester who are currently housed in several academic departments, including Economics, Management, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Academics from the Institute of Finance and the UK-based Money, Macro and Finance Research Group will meet at the conference which will be held on 17 June 2011.
The conference will provide an important opportunity for scholars to meet with leading experts and discuss banking reforms and the future of banks nationally and internationally. Scholars will also have the opportunity to participate in a panel debate of the future of banking and financial regulation.
