For many of us, Tuesday 30 November, was a day of snow chaos. For a few selected students it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Lewis Hamilton.

Caspian Burrell was the sole student from the University of Leicester lucky enough to be invited to meet Lewis Hamilton at an event organised by Santander Universities.

The Q&A session and photo opportunity with one of the UK’s most inspirational sports figures was organised as part of Santander’s ongoing commitment to higher education.

Caspian, currently in his second year of Engineering, thoroughly enjoyed the event, one he won’t forget. He received much needed motivational boost from Hamilton:

“Fortunately, I got to ask the first question, which I chose to be about his motivation and determination through his early years. He answered by mainly saying that he loved the feeling of winning, and it drove him to try to be the best.

“I found it very useful as I am currently at a crucial age in terms of my career path, and hopefully it will help benefit me to achieve more and be the best at what I choose to do.”
