Social Media, Friend or Foe? 14th March

A second chance to attend this workshop (Wed 14th March November) is available via Staff Development looking at the legal aspects of social media and networking.

[CANCELLED: Sadly due to low booking numbers this session has been cancelled]

This workshop presented by the Copyright Administrator and Document Supply and Repository Manager aims to help delegates stay on the straight and narrow, while still exploring and exploiting the fabulous teaching, learning and research augmentation opportunities that these resources provide.

It will illustrate through worked real-world examples the best practice approaches that can be employed to minimise exposure to legal, personal and professional risk.  There will be a chance for discussion and questions throughout the workshop.

The workshop is suitable for all academic or senior administrative staff, and PhD students, who are considering or already are making use of social networks and media as part of their University of Leicester work.

Booking information and further details on this session are available from the Staff Development site.

Please note that this course forms part of the social media Skills for the Professional Researcher Programme.  Those without any experience of social media are advised to attend the two earlier sessions The Social Web: Building and Maintaining your Digital Profile and The Social Web: Tools for Presenting and Sharing Research first.
