Access, Hours and Contacts

Material in the Special Collections may be housed on open shelves or in the Special Collections Store in the David Wilson Library.

Items housed on the open shelves can be borrowed via the Self-service Book Issue of the Library.

Requesting to view an item from Special Collections

Items from the Special Collections Store are made available by placing a Hold on the Library Catalogue and can only be read in the Kirby & West Special Collections Reading Room. Readers are required to abide by the rules governing the Reading Room.

You will need your Library Card and PIN to make a Hold.

 

Holds will be available at the times noted on this information page.

Requested photocopies can be collected from the Service Desk.

Library staff are available to assist readers to access the materials they require and to deal with general enquiries. NB: Library staff are not available to carry out research on behalf of readers.

  • Monday-Friday - 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
  • Saturday - Closed
  • Sunday - Closed
