Services for Learners
Selina provides help and advice on finding appropriate information for your assignments, and how to cite references. She also offers training in EndNote, RefWorks, social bookmarking tools, improving your web searching techniques, accessing journal articles and using resources such as Engineering Village, IEEE, MathSciNet, Web of Knowledge and Scopus. Services for Researchers
Selina provides help and advice on literature searching, accessing library resources, keeping up to date with your research interests, copyright, citation data, Web 2.0 technologies, improving your searching techniques, and using EndNote or RefWorks. She can advise you on impact factors, open access publishing, depositing items in the Leicester Research Archive (LRA) and where to find information on the best places to publish your research. She can provide training sessions on any of the above to you, or your students. She liaises with, and purchases library resources for, the Departments of Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics.
Professional Interests
Selina is interested in information literacy, research support, teaching and learning, and the use of Web 2.0 technologies. She is a member of the Library blog team. She has also been involved in projects on reading list software, the development of the Rooms web pages, and creating Blackboard information literacy tutorials and vodcasts.
