Services for Learners
Jackie provides help and training on finding information for your assignments, improving your literature searching techniques, and citing references. She supports the Art Full Text, British and Irish Archaological Bibliography, Criminal Justice Abstracts, Historical Abstracts, JustCite, Lawtel, LexisLibrary, and Westlaw research databases, and the EndNote and RefWorks bibliographic software. Services for Academic Staff
Jackie liaises with, and purchases resources for, the Schools of Archaeology and Ancient History, Historical Studies, Law, Museum Studies, and the Department of Criminology. She can also provide training for your students about the library, and on literature searching, and the use of research databases and bibliographic software.
Jackie works with Helen Steele (Research Information Advisor) to provide researchers with help and advice about the library, literature searching, keeping up to date with research interests, copyright, and citation data. Professional Information
Jackie is a qualified and chartered librarian, with an MSc in Information and Library Management (specialising in Official and Legal Information), and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (MCLIP). Before joining the University of Leicester in 2012, Jackie worked as the librarian at The College of Law in Birmingham. Jackie is an active member of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL), Association of Law Librarians in Central England (ALLICE) and East Midlands Legal Information Professionals (EMLIP), and she currently serves on BIALL's Professional Development Committee. Jackie is particularly interested in legal information and information literacy.
