Services for Learners
Andrew provides help and advice on finding appropriate information for your assignments, and how to cite references. He also offers training in EndNote, RefWorks, improving your web searching techniques, accessing journal articles and using resources such as Business Source Premier, Expanded Academic ASAP, Web of Science and Scopus. He supports both on-campus students and distance learners. Phone or email him for help.
Services for Researchers:
Andrew provides help and advice on literature searching, accessing library resources, keeping up to date with your research interests, copyright, citation data, improving your searching techniques, and using EndNote or RefWorks. He can advise you on impact factors, open access publishing, depositing items in the Leicester Research Archive (LRA) and where to find information on the best places to publish your research. He liaises with, and purchases library resources for, the departments listed above.
Professional Interests:
Andrew is interested in information literacy, teaching and learning, research support and learning technologies. He develops electronic tutorials to help students improve their information searching. He has also been involved in the development of the Rooms web pages, and the creation vodcasts and Blackboard e-tivities. He speaks French and basic Italian. He is a Chartered Librarian.
