Improvements to Books Search (the Catalogue)

You can search the Catalogue in exactly the same way as before. You will notice differences to the layout of the screen and the display of search results.

The new interface brings the following new features.

Bookmarking and Permalinks

If you want to link back to a favourite page or item on the catalogue you will now be able to do this using the Bookmark and Permalink options. Using Bookmark will create a link to a page on the Catalogue. Using Permalink will create a link to an individual item. Once you have a bookmark or permalink you can use these in reading lists, bibliographies or when saving references to Refworks.

Searching

Using the eBooks only check box will limit your search to titles available electronically. The search results screen shows if an item is on shelf and available to borrow.
