Easter Vacation Loans
Easter closure of the David Wilson Library is Friday 10 April to Monday 13 April inclusive. The Library will be open on both Thursday 9 April and Tuesday 14 April, 9am to 5pm each day. Please note that there will be no staffed services on these days and you will need your Library card to get access.
Spring term ends on 27 March and summer term starts on Monday 4 May.
Four week loans may be kept longer provided they are not recalled. To take full advantage of the longer loan period you are advised to check the due date for your books before the end of term and renew any that are due for return during the vacation.
Those issued on the
25 March will be due back on 6 May
26 March will be due back on 7 May
27 March - 8 April will be due back on 8 May
15 April will be due back on 13 May.
Normal loans revert to 4 weeks on 15 April and will be due back on 13 May. Any high demand items issued during this time will still issue for a week only.
Holds placed after 24 March may not be available until after the start of the summer term. Recall notices will be sent out up to 25 March and after 28 April. If you place a hold on a book during the vacation and need the item urgently, please contact the Enquiry Service email libdesk@le.ac.uk, telephone 0116 252 2043 so we can arrange a special recall to be sent out for you. Whilst we recognise that many users would like to borrow books for the whole vacation, we cannot guarantee this and ask everyone to respect requests for items to be returned.
From 14 April the Library will be open as normal from 8am until midnight (staffed Library services will be available from 9am to 9pm). The Library will be opening 24/7 from 4 May until the end of the exams.
