The Library announces new resources covering historic newspapers and audio accounts from survivors of the holocaust

The Library has recently added the following resources:

17th -18th Century Burney Collection Newspapers

The Burney Newspapers comprise the most comprehensive collection of early English newspapers anywhere in the world, providing an unparalled resource for students and researchers with almost 1 million pages and approximately 1,270 newspapers, pamphlets, and books gathered by the Reverend Charles Burney (1757-1817). The Burney Newspapers are predominantly London newspapers of the 17th and 18th centuries. The titles range in date from 1603 to the early 1800s.

British Newspapers 1600 - 1900

A new resource that enables you to search across the Burney Collection of Newspapers and the 19th Century British Library Newspapers Collection.

British Library Holocaust Recordings

Over 440 hours of life story recordings from 66 personal experiences from Jewish survivors of the Holocaust are now available on the British Library Archival Sound Recordings database. This resource documents the moving testimonies of Jewish immigrants to Britain, many who survived Nazi concentration camps.
