Nominations are invited for the following;
Branch Officers
Chair
Secretary
Treasurer

Nominations are also required for;

Environmental Officer, Health & Safety Reps, Minutes & Membership Secretary, Pensions Officer, Equality Rep, Women’s Rep, Student Union rep, Political Officer, and Senior Workplace Reps

For the period;

You can be nominated by any union member or you can nominate yourself.
Nominations should be sent to Luigi Alessandro, Engineering (lra4@le.ac.uk) by cease work on Mon 22 Nov 2010.
If a position is not contested the nominee shall be elected by default; if a position is contested, a ballot by a “show of hands” will take place at a branch

In Academy 3 Percy Gee Building*

A member may hold more than one office. The Branch must elect Branch Officers , Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and there must be 5 members at a meeting to form a quorum.

We also require volunteers for Health & Safety Reps. These are not politically motivated positions and you will NOT be expected to become “workplace reps” all you need is an interest in health & safety matters and full training will be given.

We also require volunteers to act as Building Reps. These members are only to provide a point of contact for a building or department so that posters and notices, etc. can be sent to them. You will NOT be expected to become involved in any Union business other than a point of contact.

*DIRECTIONS:
Academy 3 is on the lower ground floor of the Percy Gee Building. Go through the Main Entrance (opposite Ken Edwards Building) turn left and go down the winding staircase - at the bottom turn right through the double doors and Academy 3 is the first room on the left.
