The University of Leicester falls under the remit of the Education Sector. The  sector covers all areas of education in the UK and Ireland.
Our members can be found in Universities Colleges, Tertiary, Secondary, Primary and Nursery establishments in the UK and Ireland. We also have members who work with organisations providing educational support to any of the above mentioned educational establishments.

Here at Leicester there is a nominated committee, (The Branch Executive) which comprises a team of people who work at the University and are constantly campaigning and negotiating with Management, Human Resources and other sections of the University to ensure members are treated in a fair and equitable fashion in all matters relating to the workplace.
