What is it?

The expectations of students are increasing and the ‘student experience ‘is rapidly becoming a key ‘market’ differentiator as evidenced by the annual survey of students. Although the University is already providing some services to students online there is a need to deliver a more comprehensive and integrated service. The Student Accommodation project will develop and implement two new accommodation services, e-Applications and e-Contracts.  This project will address the requirement for students to manage their accommodation online.

What will it deliver?

Once the project has been delivered sStudents will be able to:

• Apply for accommodation online.
• Accept or reject offers of accommodation online.
• Monitor the progress of their application online.
• Receive online notification of the allocation of accommodation.
• Receive and enter into contracts online.  

University staff will be able to:

• Process applications for accommodation online.
• Issue and receive ‘signed’ contracts online.
• Have access to more timely management information for the control allocation and  marketing of accommodation. 

When will it be delivered?

Implementation is planned for February 2009
