MyLeicester Project

What is it?

MyLeicester is the name for the University’s new enquiries management and customer relationship management system. It is a system through which we can manage print and electronic communications with prospective students in order to build and maintain a relationship with them and ultimately convert them into registered students.

What will it deliver?

A single database and communications platform that will:

  • manage requests for prospectuses, course brochures, open day bookings and eventually UCAS visit day bookings;
  • deliver communications to prospective students – through print and email communications and a personalised prospective student web portal;
  • interface with the Student Records System (SITs) – so we can manage our communications with applicants and offer-holders through the one platform;
  • provide holistic enquirer, applicant and offer-holder data – we will be better able to track conversion through the recruitment cycle and generate a better understanding of our markets.

When will it be delivered?

Moving the existing enquiries management and communications activities to the new system will be carried out through a phased implementation. By early 2010 it will be possible to manage requests for literature from the new system, during that Spring the communications activities carried out from the Division of Marketing and Communications will be moved to the new system. Throughout the rest of the year there will be work undertaken  to further develop communications between departments and prospective students and to train all users how to use and get the most out of the enquiries management and customer relationship management system.

By the end of 2010 it will be possible to use the system to deliver communications to enquirers, applicants and offer-holders for all levels and modes of study.
