Since the launch of the Springboard website the team have completed As Is process maps for the student life cycle. Analysis of the information gathered highlighted where the processes are working well and where significant improvements could be made. The output from the analysis has been presented to Dave Hall, Registrar and Project Sponsor. Further presentations to the Corporate Services management team are planned to take place during February.  

In October staff from across the University were given the opportunity to attend an informal event to comment on the 'As Is Process Maps'. Over 100 administrators, academics and a few students attended the weeklong event where they had the opportunity to view the maps for the first time, to comment on them and to highlight where there were departmental variances.

During the week the Springboard Team collected comments and suggestions from those who visited the event. These comments have now been translated into the maps and clearly documented for use in the 'To Be ' design.

At the event people made a number of comments about the springboard programme, some of which are shown below.

"it's good to see all the processes documented, we have never had this before"

"Springboard is going to make a real difference"

"Having access to one system that we can all share will make our job easier"
