This event will allow you to find out more about the postgraduate opportunities available in these colleges. On the evening you will be able to:

• Discuss your postgraduate options at the University of Leicester with departmental representatives
• Hear a welcome talk from Professor Elizabeth Murphy, Head of the College of Social Science
• Find out about financial arrangements and support for postgraduate students
• Take a tour of our award winning library facilities
• Chat to current postgraduates about their experiences

It will help us to plan for the evening if we have an approximate idea of numbers attending so please book a place.

On the evening

Please register on arrival in the venue. If you book in advance, you will receive an email with a fast track number. Please bring a print out of the email with you, as this will make registration quicker.

Representatives from different subject areas will be available throughout the evening to discuss your options as a postgraduate at Leicester.

Current postgraduate students will also be available to chat to you about their experiences.

Talks and tours

There will be three welcome talks, given by Professor Elizabeth Murphy, Head of the College of Social Science, during the evening: at 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

There will also be tours of the University’s award-winning David Wilson Library at 5.00pm and 6.00pm.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee willl be available. A variety of food and drink can also be found at:

• The Library Café – open until 10.00pm
• Delicious, in the Charles Wilson Building – open until 7.00pm

Scholarships

We are pleased to offer a broad range of scholarships, aimed at new campus-based masters and postgraduate research students. These scholarships provide a variety of support including part fee waivers, stipends and research support grants.
