In this exciting and one off public workshop for everybody to enjoy Dr Rodriguez (coming all the way from the University of Almeria, Spain) will be showing us how maths truly is an interactive subject!

On Monday (March 12th 2012) captive audiences will be shown how geometry can combine with soap bubbles to make magnificent visual displays. Other household objects such as thread, pins, felt and wire will also be used to create weird and wonderful patterns for everyone to enjoy.

If you fancy seeing how maths and magic really can combine to make fantastic entertainment please pop down to the Students’ Union building on Monday anytime between 10:00am and 3.00pm.

In the mean time if you want to get a sneak peak of Monday’s activities please visit Dr Rodriguez’s website where you can even see various You Tube clips of his work in action.

For any questions about the event please contact us at CSEoutreach@le.ac.uk. or further information about the Department of Mathematics, please see their website.
