Yealand CE Primary School, Lancashire
Dominic Kelly traces his passion for folk tales and legends back to the rugged beauty of the Cumbrian mountains where he grew up. He studied Environmental Science at the University of Stirling before gaining a PGCE and teaching in primary and secondary schools. In 2000, after experiencing oral performance storytelling, Dominic was inspired to become a full-time professional storyteller. In 2009 he was awarded the New Directions Commission for the Cambridge Storytelling Festival.
