The constitution and powers of Convocation are set out in Article 12 of the Charter, Sections 10 of the Statutes, and Ordinance XIV.

ASSOCIATES OF CONVOCATION

Associate members of Convocation are those in the following categories who have accepted the invitation to join Convocation: (a) Retired members of the academic staff (b) Retired Officers and Registrars of the University (c) All persons who have obtained a Diploma or Certificate of the University (d) Past members of the University College and the University who are not graduates but who would have been eligible for membership of the former Old Students’ Association. Associate members of Convocation may take part in all its activities, including its formal business, and are welcome to attend the annual reunion organised by the Standing Committee of the Alumni Association and to receive issues of the Leicester Graduates’ Review.
