PS&FDay 2011

Plant Exchange on the Knoll drive (entrance from Glebe Road).
Sunday, 11am - 3pm, 18th June 2017

Bring a plant and swap it for another one. There is no charge: just bring plants to offer, and choose something you want in exchange.  It’s a day full of surprises!  Donations accepted if you don't have a plant to offer.

Plant Sale & Family Day
11am to 4pm on Sunday 2nd July 2017
Entrance charge: £5 per person, children free.

This is our biggest annual public open day, and an important fixture in the community's calendar. All the proceeds go to the Friends of the Botanic Garden, who support the Garden by funding developments.

We welcome between 1,500-2,000 visitors, of all ages. The title says it all: you can buy plants, and you and your family can spend the day exploring a variety of stalls around the themes covered by the Botanic Garden's work: education, research, botany, horticulture, conservation, sustainability, both global and local.

There are specialist plant nurseries, arts and crafts stalls with sales and activities, environmental/wildlife societies with information, activities and entertainments. You can listen to local bands while you enjoy refreshments on the lawn, all in aid  of the Botanic Garden. Whether you are looking for plants for your garden, craft items for gifts, or an enjoyable day out with friends and neighbours, there is something for everyone.
