Guided tours
Guided tours of the Botanic Garden
Guided tours are available to visiting groups by prior arrangement, and can be tailored to suit your needs, e.g. outside the normal opening hours. On arrival, visiting groups are divided into smaller parties of about ten people each. A trained volunteer Guide (from the Friends of the Botanic Garden) then accompanies each party around the Garden. A tour typically takes about 1.5 hours and can be combined with light refreshments at the end, if so wished.
Costs
Guided tour: £3.50 per person. (There is a minimum charge of £35)
Tea + cake available before 6.30pm at an additional £3.00 per person.
Revenue from the tours goes to support the Botanic Garden's education programme, which hosts about 8000 school children every year.
