Forthcoming talks at the Botanic Garden ...
In association with the local group of the Botanical Society of the British Isles, we are pleased to offer the following two talks.
Mosses and Liverworts in Leicestershire. A reprise of the Sowter Memorial lecture given to the Leicester Lit. & Phil. Soc. by Steve Woodward.
Date & time: 19th January 2012, 8pm
A New Flora for Leicestershire. Mike Jeeves, conservation officer for the Leics. & Rutland Wildlife Trust, will give a talk about his new Flora.
Date & time: 25th January 2012, 8pm
Venue for both talks: Botanic Garden Coach House. Access via Stoughton Drive South, Hastings House (1st driveway on left after leaving London Rd). Park in forecourt. No booking necessary. Entrance free.
Normal winter opening times ...
This winter, the Botanic Garden will be open all week from 10am-4pm. The greenhouses will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Summer Café ...
The cafe is now closed for the winter. We expect it to reopen next summer.
