Welcome to the Equalities Unit
The Equalities Unit provides the University with advice on equal opportunities with respect to both students and staff. It does this mainly through the Equality Public Duties that requires the University to proactively manage equal opportunities. The University’s response to these duties is embodied in the University’s Equal Opportunities Policy.

Mission Statement
The Equalities Unit sets out to support the University to fulfil its public equality duties and uphold relevant individual rights. It will achieve this through the adoption of schemes and policies and the provision of advice to students, staff and managers.
