Retirement of Nick Robinson
Catering manager Nick Robinson is retiring from the University after nearly 13 years of service
Nick Robinson is retiring from the University on 31st March 2009 after almost 13 years service.
Nick joined the University on 1st September 1996, as Catering Manager for the City Campus and its satellite units. Nick made much progress with changes to the service and his many achievements include the opening of new outlets; Cafe Piazza, the Arts Bar, the Welcome Cafe. He improved levels of service encouraging the growth of a successful Wine Club and introducing the hugely popular Jazz in the Piazza. His personal qualities were best demonstrated when welcoming many large conference groups to the University. For many Catering Managers the ultimate is to serve the Queen and Nick achieved this honour in 2008.
