University Teaching Fellowship Awards 2007
Winners of the 2007 awards have been announced.
Teaching Fellowships are awarded in recognition of outstanding and inspiring contributions to teaching and curriculum innovation and development. The Panel of the Learning and Teaching Committee under the chairmanship of Professor Fothergill has recommended that Teaching Fellowships be awarded to the following for 2007:
Dr Jo Badge, Biological Sciences
For the development of accessible web-based learning resources within the School of Biological Sciences and for leadership in promoting student academic integrity.
Dr Rose Craven-Griffiths, Education
For her inspirational teaching on the Primary PGCE course over many years and her national contribution to teacher development.
Dr Elizabeth Jones, School of Modern Languages
For her innovative work in improving the student learning experience in the context of the changing needs of a diverse student community
Dr Ross Parry, Museum Studies
For his energetic and innovative contribution to understanding and meeting learning needs in the museums and cultural heritage sectors
Dr Tristram Hooley, Student Learning Centre
Dr Clare Madge, Geography
Dr Henrietta O’Connor, Centre for Labour Markey Studies
Dr Jane Wellens, Staff Development Centre
For their outstanding work in developing a new and innovative teaching resource for students and teachers in the field of research methods
Mr Jon Shears and Mr Carl Vivian, Audio-Visual Services
For their internationally recognised expertise in creating educational films and other teaching materials, and for designing and teaching film production modules.
