Take a stroll around the University - on your PC

Leicestershire is now on Google Streetview

As of 11 March, the county of Leicestershire has joined other locations across the UK on Google Streetview. The online service, launched in the UK nearly a year ago, allows users to explore the whole of the county using 360-degree panoramic photopgraphs.

The University is also included, still sporting the banners announcing its accolade as THE University of the Year, as well as many of its satellite offices and facilities.

As Google’s cameras were limited to public roads, views of the campus and halls of residence are limited. However, its makers view the service as an ideal method for familiarising yourself with the area, exploring local amenities and viewing local landmarks.
