Annual Industry Lecture in the Department of Engineering, hosted by Jem Stansfield of BBC's 'Bang Goes the Theory'

Each year, the Engineering Department hosts an Annual Industry Lecture - a special lecture given by a well-known engineer - talking on a subject of interest to our current staff, students and engineers in general. This year is no exception, with Jem Stansfield, Presenter from BBC's "Bang Goes the Theory" giving the lecture.

Jem has had a varied career which has included creating special effects for major motion pictures, exhibits for the Science Museum and Royal Observatory and inventing the world's first air-powered motorbike. His TV appearances include Scrapheap Challenge, Science Shack, Home on their Own and Men in White. His lecture will take place on 10th February at 6pm and is entitled 'Instincts, equations and sketchy solutions'.

This will be followed by a free buffet meal and drink - which is sponsored by members of our Industrial Consultative Committee.
