Induction week

Our Induction Programme in your first week introduces you to the department, the Library, computer resources and each other, and makes sure you have the necessary study skills to achieve your potential.

On arrival, each student is allocated a Personal Tutor. Students are expected to see their personal tutor at intervals throughout each academic year, to discuss overall academic progress, as well as any personal matters which may affect their studies. The tutor can be consulted about a range of non-academic problems and can act on behalf of the student, both within the University and outside.
